We had never considered using bedside table lamps as part of the total bedroom furniture plan until we stumbled upon this site. When we did think about getting some, everything seemed to fit in the plan.

Since we weren’t planning on a vintage theme planned for our bedroom we didn’t have to go with the light hanging from a cord in the middle of a room as normal. We considered other ideas such as tall floor lamps, recessed lighting etc. but we didn’t really like any of them. Using table lamps also gives us some extra floor space as they don’t need as much room.

It just seemed that, having considered several different ideas, bedside table lamps gave us all the flexibility that we need. It was a relatively cheap option for the bedroom but more importantly it also meant that it would not break the bank if we didn’t like them in the future and needed to get some different ones.

The hours we took weighing up the different ideas proved worthwile.
